For the purpose of the Terms of Letting, Glangwili Mansion shall mean the owners of Glangwili Mansion, George and Linda Reid and Visitor shall mean the person named in the booking form.
A booking for a room becomes firm when a deposit equivalent to the first night’s stay (per room) is charged on the day of booking by credit or debit card.
The full balance of the total holiday cost is payable on arrival. Cash or credit/debit card is acceptable. We no longer accept cheques.
We are a small business, so cancellations can have a big impact on us, especially as we have probably turned away bookings in favour of someone who has already booked, who then cancels.
In the event of any cancellation we will always endeavour to re-let the room if the booking is made directly with us rather than an external channel.
For cancellations more than 7 days ahead of the booking:
If we are successful in re-letting the room, we will refund any deposit paid less a £25 admin fee.
If we fail to re-let the room then the deposit will be retained in full.
If the cancellation occurs 7 days or less prior to the booking:
The guest will be liable for the full booking unless we can re-let the room.
Any non-arrival will mean that the guest will be liable for the cost of the booking in full.
We take all bookings in good faith. As we are unable to judge reasons for change, cancellation or non-arrival, guests are reminded that no exceptions to the above conditions will be made and any booking made with Glangwili Mansion forms a legally binding contract. For this reason we advise that you take out suitable insurance to cover against unexpected costs such as cancellation fees.
Visitor Accommodation Limitation:
Accommodation is limited to two persons per room apart from the Chartreuse suite which can accommodate three people.
Where two parties join forces to take a holiday, the booking should be made in one name only. That person (the visitor) is to be responsible for all payments and any damage.
Personal injury and loss of visitor property:
The visitor or members of his/her party cannot hold Glangwili Mansion responsible for injury sustained or the loss or damage to any belongings during their stay.
The visitor understands to keep the premises and all the furniture, fixtures and effects in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the booking period (reasonable wear and tear excepted) and shall pay to Glangwili Mansion the value of any part of the premises, furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects so destroyed or damaged as they be incapable of being restored to its previous condition. Breakages and damage should be reported as soon as possible.
Should there be any discrepancy in the service provided within the property, this should be intimated immediately to Glangwili Mansion whereupon Glangwili Mansion will attempt to broker a satisfactory outcome.
Glangwili Mansion is however not responsible or liable for a perceived substandard of service. All claims in this respect should be made in writing to the Owners and you are bound by their terms and conditions as stipulated in this document when staying in their home.
The visitor and members of his/her party are asked to leave the accommodation clean and tidy. Glangwili Mansion reserve the right to make a charge for extra cleaning if the accommodation is not left in a satisfactory condition e.g. smoking in the non-smoking rooms.
